September 16, 2024 - Football player Evan Saevre (left) and soccer player Sam Brown (right) have been named Hawes Insurance Bull Dog co-Athletes of the Week for the week of September 9, 2024. Saevre was nominated by head football coach Logan Haston for his performance in a 14-0 victory over Class 4A eighth-ranked Roncalli on September 13. In that contest, Saevre recorded six total tackles with four quarterback pressures, a quarterback sack, and a fumble recovery. The Bull Dogs are now 4-0 for the season. Head boys soccer coach Andy Glover nominated Brown, citing his consistent performance and team leadership. “He has been a beacon of stability for the team and provides leadership on and off the field,” explained Glover when nominating Brown. The boys soccer team defeated Perry Meridian 1-0 and Carmel 2-0 last week to improve to 7-2-1 for the season.
