Wrestlers begin season 1-1 at the Turkey Tussle

November 24, 2022 - The Columbus North wrestling team got their season started at Jeffersonville High School’s Turkey Tussle on Tuesday (November 23) and split a pair of matches. North opened the day with a 64-15 victory over Corydon Central. Bull Dog winners in that dual included Liam Curfman (113 pounds), Cody Thurnall (285), Jason Shuey (138), Anay Acevedo (120), Keller DeSpain (170), Josiah Green (152), Liam Phillips (160), Bryce Luttrell (220), Justice Thornton (132), Jose Ramirez (182), and Asher Ratliff (145). The Bull Dogs lost the second match 45-33 to Jeffersonville, but got victories from Thornton, Ratiliff, Phillips, DeSpain, Shuey, and Ramirez. The Dogs will take the mat again on Saturday, December 3 when they wrestle in the Bloomington North Invitational. Matches are scheduled to begin at 8:00 am.
