September 27, 2024 - Bloomington South wasted no time putting a goal on the scoreboard. The Panthers scored just four minutes into the match, and their single goal was all that they needed to knock off the Bull Dogs 1-0 in Conference Indiana play on Thursday afternoon. Columbus North outshot Bloomington South 14-10, but the Panthers recorded a 6-2 advantage in shots-on-goal for the match. JJ Salcedo Calderon kept goal for all 80 minutes and recorded four saves for the Bull Dogs, who dropped to 8-4-1 for the season and 2-1 in Conference Indiana play. The final save was earned by Bryan Rodriguez. The Panthers also took the JV match 3-1. The JV Bull Dogs are now 6-3-3 for the season. The Bull Dogs are scheduled to take on Terre Haute South on Saturday, September 28 at Richard Wigh Soccer Complex at Parkside Elementary. The varsity match will happen first at 11:00 am, followed by the JV. It is possible that the JV match will be cut to just one half due to a lack of players on the Braves’ roster.
