Dogs sweep Greenwood in volleyball

September 27, 2024 - The Bull Dogs stumbled a bit out of the gate at Greenwood, but settled down quickly and dominated the remainder of the varsity volleyball match. The Dogs went on to sweep the Woodmen 3-0. North (10-13) edged Greenwood 26-24 in set one, and then rolled to 25-15 and 25-10 victories in the final two sets. Kennedy Horn and Karen Dutro each had ten kills as the Woodmen had no answer for their size in the middle of the net. Lexi Denny led the Dogs with 14 assists, while Holly Evans added twelve. Morgan Osborne topped the digs stat line with 13, and Horn added three blocks in the victory. Lucy Wilson had four service aces, while Denny and Horn each added three. The JV Bull Dogs improved to 14-5 with a 2-1 victory in the early match. The Bull Dogs will compete in the Heritage Days Classic at Hauser High School on Saturday, September 28.
