September 29, 2024 - Terre Haute North (1-5) received the opening kickoff in a Conference Indiana matchup at Columbus North that was rescheduled due to weather on Friday evening. They fumbled on their first offensive play and it was recovered by the Bull Dogs. Two plays later, Gino Prescott put the Dogs up 7-0 and Columbus North rolled to a 51-10 victory on Saturday afternoon. The score would be the first of four touchdowns for Prescott as the Bull Dogs outgained the Patriots 366-50 for the game. The Bull Dogs special teams recorded two safeties for the game and the defense had a touchdown as Anthony Portaluppi intercepted a screen pass and returned it for a third-quarter score. Asher Ratliff was 11-for-17 passing for 115 yards and two touchdowns (one each to Prescott and Jordan Briner). Luke Russell led the defense, recording 18 defensive points for the game. The JV and 9th grade games were both canceled on Saturday to make way for the varsity game. The Bull Dogs (5-1, 2-0) will travel to Bloomington South on Friday, October 4 in a key Conference Indiana matchup. The Panthers are 3-1 in conference play (4-2 overall).
