Cross country teams sweep Jasper Wildcat Invitational

September 30, 2024 - The boys and girls cross country teams each won their division of the Wildcat Cross Country Invitational in Jasper on Saturday, with Carys Glyn-Jones winning the individual girls title. Glyn-Jones finished 19 seconds ahead of the second place runner, and Columbus North took seven of the top eleven positions to easily win the girls division with 21 team points. Jasper took a distant second in the thirteen-team event with 90 points. The Bull Dog boys tallied 31 team points to beat second place Evansville Reitz who scored 81 points. Neal White (shown) was North’s top boys finisher in third place, but the Dogs took ten of the top 16 places to dominate the race. Both teams will compete in the Nike Twilight Cross Country Invitational on Saturday, October 5 in Terre Haute.
