Cross country teams run well at Nike ValleyTwilight

October 6, 2024 - Columbus North boys and girls cross country continued outstanding seasons with great performances at the Nike Valley Twilight in Terre Haute on Saturday (October 5). The boys finished 2nd among 45 teams and the girls posted a 5th place finish among 54 teams in the Championship Divisions. Neal White finished 33rd individually among 429 participants, leading the Dogs to their runner-up finish. The Bull Dogs’ 219 team points fell behind only Bloomington North’s 169. In the girls division, North scored 257 points behind top Bull Dog Macy Eaton’s 51st place individual finish among 492 runners. Carmel won the girls division with 172 team points. In addition to their Championship Division finishes, Columbus North also had excellent finishes in some of the other races. They were twelfth among 40 teams in the JV boys division, 4th among 28 teams in the JV girls division, tied for third in the boys varsity division among 83 teams, and 13th in the varsity girls division among 56 teams. Both cross country teams will travel to Brownsburg next Saturday (October 12) before competing in Sectionals on October 19.
