North now 18-1 after 5-0 victory over Batesville in regional tournament

October 9, 2024 - Columbus North repeated a 5-0 sweep of Batesville on Tuesday evening after beating them by the same score earlier in the season at the Columbus North Invitational. This time the stakes were higher as the two teams met in the Columbus North Boys Tennis Regional semifinals. The Bull Dogs took the number one singles (Hank Lin), the number two singles (Parth Shah), the number three singles (Teddy Littrell), and the number two doubles (Sashu Sabapathy/Michael Crossman) all by 6-0, 6-0 scores. Vince Sasse and Yoki Murabayashi won their number one doubles 6-3, 6-2 to complete the Columbus North Sweep. The Bull Dogs will now face Seymour in the regional championship on Wednesday (October 9), beginning at 5:30 pm. The Bull Dogs swept the Owls 5-0 in their only meeting this season (September 9). The Owls advanced after a 3-2 victory over Scottsburg in the other semifinal match Tuesday evening.
