Dogs improve to 3-1 in Conference Indiana play with victory at Bloomington South

October 9, 2024 - Columbus North volleyball, winners of 14 of their last 19 matches, improved to 3-1 in Conference Indiana with a 3-1 victory at Bloomington South on Tuesday afternoon. The two team split the sub-varsity matches with the Panthers taking the JV match 2-1 and the Bull Dogs sweeping the freshman match 2-0. The Panthers started the varsity match with a 28-26 decision in the first set, but the Dogs rallied to take the last three sets (25-18, 25-20, 25-16) to improve to 16-14 for the season. Statistical leaders for North included the following: Kills: Kennedy Horn (16), Karen Dutro (14), Elaina Penrod (12) Assists: Reese Edwards (22), Holly Evans (17) Blocks: Dutro (6), Horn (4), Addy Dean (4) Digs: Morgan Osborn (14), Lucy Wison (6) Service Aces: Wilson (2), Osborn (1), Kyndal Wheeler (1) The Bull Dogs will travel to Franklin Community on Thursday evening in what will be a preview of the first round of the sectional tournament which will begin next week.
