October 10, 2024 - Columbus North had the top-ranked Center Grove Trojans on the ropes for 75 minutes. The two teams had battled but remained scoreless until a Center Grove shot on goal ricocheted off another player and found the back of the net. Less than a minute later, the Trojans pounded in a second score from the right side and walked away with a 2-0 victory, ending the Bull Dogs’ season with a 9-6-1 record. The Bull Dogs were short handed due to injury, but battled the top-rated Trojans throughout the match. Center Grove outshot North 19-to-7 and held a 10-to-5 advantage in shots-on-frame. JJ Salcedo kept goal for all 80 minutes for the Bull Dogs, recording seven saves.
