North wrestlers finish second in eight-team tournament

December 12, 2022 - The Columbus North wrestling team finished 4-1 at their own Columbus North Invitational to finish second on Saturday (Dec 10). The Dogs won their first four matches over Guerin Catholic (69-12), Madison (69-12), Lafayette Jefferson (51-24), and Bloomington North (63-15), before falling to Harrison (OH) 45-31. Harrison was a last-minute entrant after Whiteland pulled out of the tournament two days prior. Individual results for the Bull Dogs included Nolan Riley (106 pounds): 4-1 Liam Curfman (113): 3-2 Joseph Cloud (120): 4-1 Bryce Hawkins (126): 3-2 Justice Thornton (132): 5-0 Jason Shuey (138): 4-1 Asher Ratliff (145): 4-1 Josiah Green (152): 3-2 Liam Phillips (160): 4-1 Keller DeSpain (170): 5-0 Jose Ramirez (182): 3-2 Keyshon Osborne (195): 2-3 Bryce Luttrell (220): 2-3 Cody Thurnall (285): 4-1 The Dogs will travel across town to take on the Olympians on Wednesday, December 14 beginning at 6:00 pm.
