North splits with Columbus East in swimming dual

December 14, 2022 - Two competitive matchups in the Columbus North pool resulted in a split between Columbus North and Columbus East to begin Winter Rivalry Week, 2022. The Bull Dogs took the girls division 105-78, with the Olympians edging the Dogs 99-84 in the boys division. North swept all three relays in the girls division, with Katie Frazier, Ainsley Sherlock, Krooklyn Pendleton, and Karissa Bevis getting the dual meet started with a victory in the 200-yard medley relay. Georgia Abdallah, Sherlock, Pendleton, and Bevis won the 200-yard free relay, and the foursome of Abdallah, Cora Tregoning, Kara Buntin, and Frazier finished the meet with a victory in the 400-yard free relay. Sherlock (shown) and Bevis each won individual events as well, with Sherlock taking the 200-yard individual medley, and Bevis winning the 100-yard freestyle. In the boys division, the Dogs won one individual event (Pratt Badve in the 50-yard freestyle) and one relay (Isaac Proffitt, Cole Ehara, Maclain Clock, and Aarush Mahato in the 200-yard free relay). North will travel to Bedford North Lawrence on Saturday, December 17 for an 11:00 am dual meet.
