January 6, 2023 - The Columbus North boys and girls swimming and diving teams dropped dual meets on the road at Bloomington North on Thursday, January 5. The girls lost 98-83 and the boys fell 123-62 to the Cougars. In the girls division, Karissa Bevis (shown) won two individual events (50 freestyle and 100 freestyle) and teamed with Katie Frazier, Ainsley Sherlock, and Kara Buntin to win the 200 yard medley relay as well as Georgia Abdallah, Buntin, and Sherlock in the 200 yard free relay. Buntin also won the 100 yard backstroke. The 400 yard free relay of Abdallah, Cora Tregoning, Frazier, and Nicole Brault also touched the wall in first place. Pratt Badve was the only Bull Dog event winner on the boys side, winning the 100 yard backstroke. Both teams will compete at the Conference Indiana meet on Saturday in Terre Haute, beginning at 9:00 am (diving). Swim will begin at 1:00 pm.
