Bull Dogs use hot start to cruise to victory over Columbus East

December 21, 2024 - Columbus North jumped out to a quick 7-0 in the first quarter against Columbus East and remained in control throughout the contest, earning a 59-42 boys basketball victory to cap off Winter Rivalry Week. The Dogs (5-1) led 15-8 after one quarter and 33-24 at halftime. The lead remained double digits for much of the remainder of the game, with the Olympians unable to mount a serious comeback. Nate Enneking led all scorers with 21 points and Austin Perry chipped in 14 to lead North. The Bull Dogs were able to hold East’s leading scorer (Keaton Lawson, 26 ppg) to just twelve points. The JV and freshman teams split the early matchups, with the Bull Dogs taking a thrilling 46-42 victory in the JV game and the Olympians winning 36-26 in the ninth grade game. The Bull Dogs varsity and JV teams will compete in the Batesville tournament on December 27.
