Boys basketball third at Batesville tournament

December 29, 2024 - After dropping their opening round game to Roncalli, Columbus North battled back and dominated Batesville to capture third place at Batesville’s holiday tournament. In game one, the Dogs fell to Roncalli 59-32. Caleb Ferguson led North with ten points and Nate Enneking added eight. The Royals used a 24-11 advantage in the first period to cruise to the victory. The second game went much more smoothly for the Bull Dogs (6-2) as they extended a six point halftime lead to 16 points by outscoring Batesville 20-10 in the third quarter. Austin Perry had 19 points for North, who also got 15 from Enneking and twelve from Garrett Long as the Bull Dogs beat Batesville 66-46. The JV team also split two games at the same tournament, losing to Roncalli 40-37 before dominating Batesville by a score of 71-36 to improve to 5-3 for the season. All three boys teams will be at Terre Haute South on Saturday, January 4 as they begin their Conference Indiana season. Photo: Austin Perry had 19 points in a decisive 66-46 victory over Batesville .
