Swimmers dominate Panthers

January 22, 2025 - Columbus North swimming and diving teams traveled to Jennings County for a non-conference dual meet and the Bull Dogs came home with two victories. The girls won 132-47 and the boys prevailed 117-42. In the girls division, top Bull Dog performers in each event included 200 yard medley relay: Kanav Mehta, Sanaa Kulkarni, Mridula Muthukumaran, Cora Tregoning - 1st 200 yard freestyle: Muthukumaran - 1st 200 yard individual medley: Tregoning - 1st 50 yard freestyle: Kara Buntin - 2nd 1 meter diving: Kristin Waite - 2nd 100 yard butterfly: Brooklyn Pendleton - 1st 100 yard freestyle: Nicole Brault - 2nd 500 yard freestyle: Sanchita Pannathpur - 1st 200 yard freestyle relay: Kulkarni, Muthukumaran, Pendleton, Advika Badve - 1st 100 yard backstroke: Badve - 1st 100 yard breaststroke: Kulkarni - 1st 400 yard freestyle relay: Kulkarni, Muthukumaran, Pendleton, Badve - 1st In the boys division, North’s best performances included 200 yard medley relay: HP Devaguptapu, Nicolas Bowers, Hudson Clock, Luis Valerdi - 1st 200 yard freestyle: Isaac Niewedde - 1st 200 yard individual medley: Diego Cotero Tapia - 1st 50 yard freestyle: Eli McIntier - 2nd 1 meter diving: Dagan Kleffman - 1st 100 yard butterfly: Clock - 1st 100 yard freestyle: McIntier - 2nd 500 yard freestyle: Cotero Tapia - 1st 200 yard freestyle relay: Bowers, McIntier, Clock, Cotero Tapia - 1st 100 yard backstroke: Clock - 1st 100 yard breaststroke: Bowers - 1st 400 yard freestyle relay: Cotero Tapia, McIntier, Valerdi, Bowers - 1st The divers will participate in the Mooresville Dive Invitational on Saturday before the boys team will travel to Bloomington South on Tuesday, January 28.
