January 24, 2025 - North’s 108.725-103.4 gymnastics victory over New Palestine may not have been their highest team score of the year, but it was likely their best performance. Very few falls on balance beam and vault and solid landings on their uneven bar dismounts gave the Bull Dogs a solid lead after three rotations. The Dogs then finished with a sweep of the top four spots on floor exercise to close out the meet with the decisive victory. Reese Euler continued her outstanding senior season with a sweep of all four individual events as well as the all-around. Euler won vault (9.45), uneven bars (9.35), balance beam (9.6), and floor exercise (9.5) on her way to the all-around title (37.9). Top four finishes in each event for North included: Vault: Euler (1st), Hayden Harper (3rd) Uneven bars: Euler (1st), Harper (3rd) Balance beam: Euler (1st), Hannah Perry (4th) Floor exercise: Euler (1st), Perry (2nd), Emerson Chambers (3rd), Ellie McIntier (4th) All-Around: Euler (1st), Harper (2nd), Perry (3rd) All five of North’s varsity all-around athletes scored at least 24.5 as the Dogs improved to 3-0 for the season. Addy Gill won the JV all-around with 22.35 points. North will be back on the mats on Thursday, January 30 when they host Conference Indiana foe Bloomington South at 6:30 pm.
