Dogs cruise past Connersville 69-39 in boys basketball

February 7, 2025 - Columbus North used a 21-4 second quarter advantage to grab a 30-9 lead over Connersville and rolled to a 69-39 victory, improving to 13-3 for the season. Caleb Ferguson had a career high 25 points, Austin Perry added ten, and Max Coomes added nine in the victory. The Dogs knocked down eleven three-point goals and were 10-of-13 from the free throw line as they won their sixth consecutive game. The JV team outscored Connersville 31-12 in the fourth quarter to overcome a double-digit deficit and earn a 60-51 victory. The freshmen team won the other early matchup 48-38. Next up for the Bull Dogs will be a road game at East Central Saturday afternoon. The JV game is scheduled to tip off at 1:00 with the varsity to follow. The freshmen game has been canceled due to a lack of available players for East Central.
