February 7, 2025 - Columbus North hosted the girls swim sectional prelims on Thursday evening and head coach Mike Cunningham’s squad recorded a number of season and lifetime-best performances. Top 16 performances in each event qualified for Saturday afternoon’s sectional finals. Columbus North swimmers qualifying for Saturday’s sectional finals (with their seeding positions) included the following: 200 yd freestyle relay - Advika Badve, Cora Tregoning, Sanaa Kulkarni, Brooklyn Pendleton - 5th 200 yd freestyle - Ava Andrews - 13th 200 yd individual medley - Mridula Muthukumaran - 2nd, Kulkarni - 9th 50 yard freestyle - Pendleton - 6th, Abigail Proffitt - 12th 100 yard butterfly - Muthukumaran - 5th, Kulkarni - 9th, Badve - 10th 100 yard freestyle - Caroline Crawford - 15th, Nandini Kondhare - 16th 500 yard freestyle - Tregoning - 4th, Andrews - 9th, Proffitt - 10th 200 freestyle relay - Pendleton, Muthukumaran, Proffitt, Kara Buntin - 4th 100 yard backstroke - Nicole Brault - 12th, Crawford - 13th, Buntin - 15th 100 yard breaststroke - Tregoning - 11th, Badve - 14th, Sanchit Ponnathpur - 16th 400 yard freestyle relay - Kanav Mehta, Crawford, Brault, Mattie Handlon - 6th The sectional diving prelims will begin at 9:30 am with the swimming finals beginning at 1:30 at Columbus North High School.
