February 2, 2023 - Columbus North senior football players Cooper Horn and Savion Miles have each been named to the Indiana Football Coaches Association (IFCA) All-Region team for Region 10. Both players had earlier been named to the First Team All-Conference Indiana and to the Class 6A Senior All-State Team. Miles, a 6-2, 305 pound lineman started on the defensive line, recording 45 solo tackles, 46 assists, 7.5 tackles for loss, and two quarterback sacks. Miles also split time on the offensive line throughout the season and scored one touchdown as a running back. Horn, a 6-2, 185 pound wide receiver, recorded a record-breaking season in 2022. He broke school records for receptions in a season (71), receiving yards in a game (225) and in a season (1471), and receiving touchdowns in a season (20). He also averaged nearly 39 yards per kick as the team’s punter. Both players are now eligible to be selected for the North-South All-Star game to be held in July, 2023. Teams will be announced for that game in early March.
