February 16, 2025 - Justice Thornton, Cohen Long, and Asher Ratliff all punched their tickets to the IHSAA State Wrestling Finals after finishing in the top four in the weight classes at the Evansville Semi State on Saturday, February 15. A total of seven Bull Dogs wrestled in the Semi State tournament. Liam Curfman (106 pounds) and Servando Lozano (285 pounds) each lost their first round matches. Thornton (138 pounds) and Long (144 pounds) each went 3-1 and finished third in their weight classes. Luke Spurgeon and Evan Saevre each finished 1-1 at 150 pounds and 190 pounds, respectively. Ratliff finished 2-2 to earn fourth place at 157 pounds. Brownsburg won the team title with 266 points, followed by Center Grove (166.5) and Avon (126). The Bull Dogs claimed seventh place in the 38-team event with 42 points. The State Finals will be held on Friday, February 21 at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis.
