February 21, 2025 - East Central hosted Thursday night’s sectional boys swim prelims and the Bull Dogs had a number of athletes advance to Saturday’s finals. Top eight performances will be in the championship heat of the sectional finals, with the next eight advancing to the consolation heat. The Bull Dogs’ top performers in each event included: 200 yard medley relay (Hudson Clock, Nicolas Bowers, Diego Cotero Tapia, Eli McIntier) - 8th 200 yard freestyle - Cotero Tapia - 5th 200 yard individual medley - Saisri Harshith Devaguptapu - 18th 50 yard freestyle - Nicolas Bowers - 17th 100 yard butterfly - Cotero Tapia - 4th 100 yard freestyle - McIntier - 18th 500 yard freestyle - Eli Varchenko - 13th 200 yard freestyle relay (Cotero Tapia, McIntier, Clock, Bowers) - 7th 100 yard backstroke - Harshith Devaguptapu - 17th 100 yard breaststroke - Bowers - 13th 400 yard freestyle relay (Harshith Devaguptapu, Varchenko, Luis Valerdi, Isaac Niewedde) - 9th Saturday’s diving prelims will begin at 9:00 am with the swimming and diving finals set to begin at 1:00 pm at East Central High School.
