Three Bull Dog wrestlers compete at State Finals

February 22, 2025 - Columbus North wrestling sent three competitors to the IHSAA State Wrestling Championships in Indianapolis and two of the three placed eighth in their respective weight classes. Justice Thornton (138 pounds) finished seventh, and Cohen Long (144 pounds) won his opening round match on Friday but lost both matches in the medal rounds, placing eighth. Asher Ratliff (157 pounds) drew the top-ranked wrestler in his weight class and did not advance past Friday’s opening round. The Bull Dogs finished with 8.5 team points, earning a 41st place finish. Brownsburg easily won the team title with 243 points, followed by Center Grove (115) and Crown Point (95.5). Thornton finished the season with a 30-7 record. Long finished 30-10, and Ratliff finished his season 34-7.
