Bull Dogs earn trip to State Gymnastics Finals for 19th consecutive season

March 8, 2025 - The Columbus North gymnasts continued their undefeated season with a team title at the Franklin Central Regional on Friday night, earning their 19th consecutive berth in the State Finals. The streak ties Fort Wayne Bishop Dwenger for the longest consecutive streak in IHSAA gymnastics history. The Bull Dogs amassed 109.175 points, finishing ahead of New Palestine (107.125) and Bloomington North (104.925) in the six-team regional. Roncalli finished fourth, New Castle fifth, and Connersville sixth. Reese Euler earned regional titles in three events and the all-around to lead the Dogs. The turning point in the event came on the Bull Dogs’ second rotation when they scored 27.925 on the balance beam. All four competitors completed their routines with no falls. The next best team score on beam was New Palestine’s 26.4. The Dogs dominated the vault as well, as they were the only team scoring over 27 in that event. Top-six finishes for the Bull Dogs included Vault: Euler (1st) 9.6 Hayden Harper (4th) Ellie McIntier (5th) Uneven Bars: Euler (1st) 9.6 Emerson Chambers (5th) Balance Beam: Euler (1st) 9.6 Harper (3rd) Hannah Perry (T-5th) Floor Exercise: Euler (2nd) 9.275 All-Around Euler (1st) 38.075 The State Finals will be held on the campus of Ball State University on Saturday, March 15.
