North volleyball collects season’s third victory

April 1, 2025 - The newly formed Columbus North boys volleyball team earned its third victory of this inaugural season with a 3-1 victory over Shelbyville in Memorial Gymnasium on Tuesday evening (March 31). The teams split the first two sets, 26-24, 23-25, with the Bull Dogs (3-7) taking the final two sets 25-21, 28-26. Kota Kondo (shown) had 37 assists for the match, with Hank Lin leading North with five service aces. Leo Iorio led the Dogs in both kills (20) and Digs (12). Yuta Kondo had a pair of blocks in the victory. The Dogs will host New Albany in a JV/varsity doubleheader on Thursday, April 3. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm with varsity to follow around 7:30.
