February 18, 2023 - Seniors Cooper Horn and Ty Ferguson combined for 33 of Columbus North’s 45 points as the Dogs fell short of Bloomington North in a Conference Indiana boys basketball matchup. Horn’s 21 points came after being recognized prior to the game for his recent 1000 career points milestone. The Cougars led throughout, but never by more than seven points in the physical, evenly-matched late-season matchup. Both teams had to adjust lineups due to foul trouble in the second half. The loss dropped the Bull Dogs to 2-3 in Conference Indiana for the season. Jackson Newman had 18 points, including four three-point goals, and Max Coomes added 15 as the JV team beat Bloomington North 60-49. The JV team now stands at 14-3. The Bull Dogs (13-7) will host Franklin Community Saturday, February 18 as the Bull Dogs will recognize its seniors between the JV and varsity games. Columbus North students will be admitted free with their student ID for the Bull Dogs’ final regular-season home game.
