North tennis improves to 2-0

April 11, 2025 - Columbus North girls tennis is off to a 2-0 start after a 3-2 victory at Seymour on Thursday afternoon. Aya Saad got the match rolling with a quick 6-0, 6-0 victory at number one singles. Lucy Bergman (shown) followed suit with a 6-0, 6-2 victory at number two singles and then the number two doubles team of Grace Conner and Nino Akalaya closed out the match with a 6-0, 7-5 victory to put the Dogs up 3-0. Seymour won the last two matches as Annabelle Sun and Lizzie Bodart fell 1-6, 6-1, 1-6 at number one doubles, and Ayane Umemura dropped a 6-4, 3-6, 12-14 decision at three singles. The Bull Dogs will host Columbus East on Monday afternoon. Matches are set to begin at 4:30 pm.
