February 19, 2023 - The boys swimming and diving team earned a fifth-place finish at the East Central Sectional this weekend, scoring 263.5 points. Bloomington North won the team title with 415 points. Bloomington South was second, East Central third, and Columbus East fourth in the 13-team sectional. Top finishers for Columbus North included the following performances: -200 yard medley relay - 4th -200 yard freestyle (Jude Abdallah) - 5th -200 yard individual medley (Deglan Cunningham) - 6th -50 yard freestyle (Prat Badve) - 5th -1-meter diving (Carson Shoop) - 10th -100 yard butterfly (Brock Smith) - 8th -100 yard freestyle (Isaac Proffitt) - 8th -500 yard freestyle (Abdallah) - 8th -200 freestyle relay - 3rd -100 yard backstroke (Maclain Clock) - 8th -100 yard breaststroke (Cole Ehara) - 8th -400 yard freestyle relay - 5th Congratulations to the boys swim team on a fine season with excellent improvement in times throughout the season.
