February 25, 2023 - Sophomore Reese Euler earned Sectional championships in Vault (9.6), Uneven Parallel Bars (9.55), and in the All-Around (37.725), helping to lead Columbus North to a team total of 106.8 points and a second place finish in the eleven-team Franklin Central Sectional. Bloomington North edged the Bull Dogs with a score of 107.375 to earn the team title, and Bloomington South finished a distant third with 101.850 points. All three teams will advance to next week’s Regional, also hosted by Franklin Central. Euler earned additional podium positions with a second place finish on the Balance Beam and third place finish on the Floor Exercise. Senior Lindsey Mullis was second on the Uneven Bars, and freshman Hannah Perry finished in a tie for fifth on the Floor Exercise. These gymnasts would have advanced to Regionals in these individual events due to their top-six finish had they not already qualified as a team. Regionals will begin at 6:30 pm on Friday, March 3 at the Gymnastics Company in Indianapolis. The top three teams and the top six place winners in each event and the all-around will advance to the state finals held at Ball State on March 11.
