North splits squad and competes at two golf invitationals

May 12, 2025 - The Columbus North varsity boys golf team finished fourth at the Wildcat Invitational at Jasper on Saturday (May 10) and the JV team finished 15th at the Bloomington North Invitational, primarily against other schools’ varsity teams. Brady Schneider shot 78, Reid Perry 84, Joseph Perkins 85, and Austin Perry 89 for the varsity team, who tallied a team score of 336. Carter Battin shot 92, but his score did not count in the team score. Host school Jasper shot 318 to win the team title. For the JV team at Cascades Golf Course in Bloomington, Center Grove took the team title with 302. North’s 372 came from a 90 from Luke Friend, 92 from Tyler Dillingham, a 94 from Elijah Clark and 96 from Ryder Allman. Owen Sullivan’s 99 did not count in the team score. The Bull Dogs will host Bloomington North on Thursday, May 15, beginning at around 4:00 pm.
