May 13, 2025 - A battle of two top-twenty ranked teams turned out exactly as expected - a 3-2 decision decided by the final match. Fortunately for Bull Dog fans, that final match went to North’s two doubles team of Lizzie Bodart and Grace Conner 6-3, 6-2, preserving the 3-2 victory and improving the Dogs’ record to 10-3 for the season. The one singles match saw two of the best singles players in the state go head to head as North’s Aya Saad and Providence’s Riley Trinkle squared off for battle. Trinkle got the better of Saad in this match, winning 6-1, 6-0. Annabelle Sun and Nino Akhalaya won their one doubles match 6-1, 6-0 to even the match 1-1. The Dogs took a 2-1 lead when Lucy Bergman won her two singles match 6-2, 6-1. Providence pulled even with a 6-4, 6-1 victory over Molly Richards at three singles before the Dogs won the final match to capture the victory. The Bull Dogs will be on the road this evening to play Terre Haute South at Greencastle High School, beginning at around 6:00.
