May 15, 2025 - Senior Jayce Emmitt had a rock solid start on the mound for the Bull Dogs at Bloomington South on Wednesday evening. He allowed just six hits and four walks while striking out eight in six innings. There are two pitches that he’d like to have back, however, and the Panthers sent both of them over the left field wall. Bloomington South hit a pair of two-run home runs, one in the third and one in the sixth inning, to claim a 4-1 Conference Indiana victory over the Bull Dogs. North tallied five hits, one each by Jesse Clark, Brock Kintner, Jack Whaley, Emmitt, and Isaac Genth, but they continue to leave runners on base. Jackson Newman scored North’s only run (on an RBI single by Genth) as the Dogs stranded seven runners. The JV team hosted Bloomington South Wednesday night and improved to 6-6 for the season with a 3-2 victory. The Bull Dogs (7-12, 1-2) will host another Conference Indiana matchup this evening against Southport. The game was postponed before the first pitch on April 29 due to lightning.
