May 18, 2025 - A pair of weekend softball victories pushed the Bull Dogs to 11-10 for the season as they head into the final week of the regular season. North beat North Harrison 9-0 Saturday morning behind three hits and two RBI from Miley McClellan and a pitching gem from Bailee Scruggs. Scruggs went seven innings and allowed just two hits and no walks while striking out ten. The Dogs had none of the defensive errors that have plagued them the entire season. Payton Morris had four RBI for the game as well. In game two against North Oldham, the Dogs exploded for eight runs in the top of the first inning and rolled to a 14-2 victory. Morris had the ball for the Bull Dogs and allowed two runs on four hits. Another error-free defensive effort helped the Dogs to victory. Scruggs had three hits and the Bull Dogs got two hits each from Summer Williams, Morris, McClellan, and Avery Shehan as the Dogs tallied 13 hits for the five inning game. The Dogs will finish the regular season this week with a home game Tuesday (May 20) at which they’ll recognize the program’s seniors. They will then be on the road for their final Conference Indiana game at Terre Haute South on Wednesday. A victory against the Braves will earn them a share of the conference title. In their final tuneup heading into the sectional tournament, the Dogs will travel to Silver Creek on Friday.
