May 21, 2025 - Columbus North beat Bloomington South on the road. Bloomington South beat Terre Haute North, and Terre Haute North beat Columbus North. The result was a three-way tie for the Conference Indiana softball title, with all three schools finishing 4-1 in conference play. The Dogs earned that share with a 5-2 victory Wednesday evening at Terre Haute South, a game that had been rescheduled a couple of times due to weather and field conditions. The Bull Dogs found themselves in a 2-0 hole after two innings, but battled back to even the score 2-2 in the top of the third inning. They added three runs in the top of the seventh to earn the victory. Bailee Scruggs tossed all seven innings, scattering six hits and two runs (one earned), while striking out four and walking just one. She also had a pair of hits for North. Other Bull Dogs recording hits were Summer Williams, Peyton Morris, Miley McClellan, Lily Retz, and Destiny Allman. Retz and Allman each had RBI in the victory. The Dogs will host Jennings County on Thursday night and will recognize the program’s seniors prior to the start of the game. This game was rescheduled from Tuesday, May 20, when field conditions didn’t allow the game to be played.
