Girls and boys track and field teams each claim fourth-place finish at own invitational

April 8, 2023 - Both the boys and girls track and field teams placed fourth in the eight-team Columbus North Invite at Columbus North High School on Saturday, April 8. The girls tallied 90 points to finish behind Center Grove (168.66), Bloomington North (106), and Whiteland Community (97.33). The boys scored 93 points to finish behind Center Grove (141), Bloomington North (120.5), and Floyd Central (113). Top-three event finishers for the Bull Dogs included the following: Julie Klaus - second in girls 800m - 2:20.77 Lily Baker - first in girls 1600m - 5:02.46 Julia Kiesler - first in girls 3200m - 10:49.06 Sydney Morlock - second in girls 3200m - 11:53.50 4x800m relay - first - 9:34.54 Moana Steele - third in girls shot put - 38’11” Mateo Mendez - first in boys 800m - 1:56.51 William Russell - second in boys 1600m - 4:17.96 Russell - first in boys 3200m - 9:31.47 Neal White - second in boys 3200m - 9:31.96 Liam Milne - third in boys 110m high hurdles - 15.61 4x800m relay - second - 8:10.92 The Bull Dogs will host Brown County in a dual meet on Tuesday, April 11 beginning at 5:30 pm.
