Track and Field sweeps Seymour/Brown County triangular

April 12, 2023 - Columbus North hosted Seymour High School and Brown County High School in a triangular track and field meet on Tuesday evening and the Bull Dogs swept the team competitions in both the boys and girls divisions. North scored 96 points to win the boys division with Seymour finishing second (65.5) and Brown County third (5.5). In the girls division, the Bull Dogs tallied 114.5 points, easily distancing themselves from Seymour (48) and Brown County (4.5). Columbus North event winners in the boys division included the 4x800m relay (Charlie Smith, Denton Sluder, Ami Gangadrara, Leyton Hottell), Liam Milne (110m high hurdles), Nathan Sparks (100m), William Russell (1600m), 4x100m relay (Sparks, Owen Russell, Milne, Matthew Burge), Rylan Elsfelder (300m hurdles), Mateo Mendez (800m), Adler Larson (3200m), Andrew McLean (discus), Morgan Knapp (high jump), Liam Phillips (pole vault). Event winners for the Bull Dogs in the girls division included the 4x800m relay (Macy Eaton, Katie Frazier, Ellen White, Lana Wisler), Marieme Niang (100m hurdles), Julia Kiesler (1600m), 4x100m relay (Nariah Simpson, Mariana Deluca, Mia Nickels, Ava Collier), Collier (400m), Natalie Rohm (300m hurdles), Lily Baker (800m), Collier (200m), 4x400m relay (Zoie Paswater, Esther Rouleau, Wisler, Sierra Newell), Moanna Steele (shot put), Newell (long jump), Wisler (high jump), Niang (pole vault). The Dogs will travel to Franklin Central High School on Friday to compete in the Franklin Central Showcase, beginning at 6:00 pm.
