April 19, 2023 - Despite the cold and windy conditions on Monday evening, head coach Kendal Hammel was not pleased with lack of fight from his team at Bloomington North in a 2-3 defeat at the hands of the Cougars. Hammel shifted around the lineup a bit when the Dogs hosted Southport on Tuesday, and the adjustments appeared to be the right ones as the Bull Dogs beat Southport 4-1. The first four matches to finish were all swept 6-0, 6-0 by the Bull Dogs. These included Annabelle Sun who moved from doubles to three-singles, Aya Saad at two-singles, Kathryn Wilson at one-singles, and Siri Poludasu and Lison Cloteaux teaming up at two-doubles. The only Cardinal victory of the night came at one-doubles as the team of Lucy Bergman (who moved from three-singles to one-doubles) and Grace Conner fell 5-7, 6-4, 7-10. The Dogs are now 7-1 on the season and will travel to Scottsburg on Thursday, April 20 beginning at 5:30 pm.
