August 23, 2025 - Columbus North dominated both sides of the ball en route to a 49-7 victory over the visiting Whiteland Warriors on Friday night. Other than a pair of special teams miscues, the Bull Dogs were nearly flawless in the execution of their game plan and cruised to a convincing victory. Senior quarterback Asher Ratliff was 24-for-29 through the air for nearly 300 yards and had three touchdown passes to Parker Elmore. Ratliff also rushed for 37 yards, including a touchdown. Elmore had a total of seven catches for 109 yards to lead all receivers. Charlie Parsons had five catches, Morgan Knapp four, and three each by Jacob Rice and Cohen Long as Ratliff took what the defense gave him and efficiently controlled the offense. North had 31 first downs and the defense gave up just nine to the Warriors. The Bull Dogs outgained Whiteland 498-to-180 and scored on seven of eight possessions. North used a 1-2 punch of Ezekial Scruggs and James Scruggs at running back as the two combined for 177 yards on 23 carries and scored three touchdowns between them. The two programs split the Saturday morning games, both played at Whiteland with North’s freshmen winning 36-8 and the Warrior JV holding on for a 22-14 victory. All three programs will take Columbus East as part of Rivalry Week next week. The varsity game will be held at Columbus East on Friday, August 29, with both the JV and freshman teams playing at Columbus North Saturday morning.
