Dogs fourth at Park Tudor Tennis Invitational

April 23, 2023 - The ninth-ranked Columbus North girls tennis team competed in the Park Tudor Invitational on Saturday, April 22 against some of the top teams in Indiana. The Bull Dogs placed fourth among eight teams with 14 total points. South Bend St. Joseph, ranked tenth, took the team title with 22 points. Third ranked Jasper finished second, followed by second-ranked Fishers, who finished just ahead of North. Rounding out the team scoring, host school and twelfth-ranked Park Tudor finished fifth, Hamilton Southeastern and Brownsburg, ranked 24th and 26th, respectively, tied for sixth with seventh-ranked Lawrence North finishing eighth. Individually, North’s Kathryn Wilson was the one-singles champion, going 3-0 on the day and earning six team points. In two-singles, Aya Saad went 2-1, finished as runner-up, and earned four team points. Annabelle Sun finished fifth in the three-singles division, losing her first match, but winning her next two. In the doubles division, Lucy Bergman and Grace Conner went 0-3 to finish eighth in one-doubles. The two-doubles team of Siri Poludasu and Nino Akhalaya/Lison Cloteaux won their first match and lost their next two to finish fourth. The Bull Dogs will host Oldenburg Academy on Monday, beginning at 5:00 pm.
