April 25, 2023 - Typically shooting a team score of 305 would be more than enough to win a golf dual meet. However, when the third-ranked Bloomington South team comes to town, 305 isn’t quite good enough. The Panthers shot 304 to slip by the Dogs at Harrison Lake Country Club on Monday afternoon. William Davis paced the Dogs with a three-over par 74. John Merritt carded a 75, with Jack Schiavello recording 77 and Joseph Perkins a 79 to round out the four-man total. Also competing for North’s varsity were Tyler Wilks who shot 80, and Alex Clark with 81. In the JV nine-hole match, Bloomington Sourth prevailed 170-197. Luke Friend shot 43, Carter Battin tallied 45, Parker Brown added 53, and Brennan Kushman chipped in a 56. The Bull Dogs will play in the BNL Invitational on Saturday, April 29, beginning at 8:30 am.
