Peda scores twice as Dogs beat New Albany

August 27, 2025 - Luccas Peda had two goals and an assist as Columbus North beat New Albany 3-1 on Tuesday afternoon at the BCSC Soccer Complex. Manuel Valle scored in the 13th minute off of a pass from Peda, putting the Dogs up 1-0. New Albany tied the score twelve minutes late to even the score 1-1 at halftime. Peda then intercepted a pass and scored in the 45th minute to push the Dogs ahead 2-1 before capping the night with another goal in the 61st minute to give North the 3-1 victory and improve to 2-2-1 for the season. Columbus North outshot New Albany 20-3, including a 9-3 advantage in shots-on-frame. Nicolas De Linan Palacios allowed one goal in 51 minutes in the net before turning the duties over to Jaden Andrade for the final 29 minutes. The Bull Dogs will face Columbus East on Thursday at the BCSC Soccer Complex. JV is scheduled to begin at 5:30 pm with varsity to follow.
