August 29, 2025 - For the second consecutive match, the Dogs were on the road to face a defending State champion, this time at Roncalli. After beating Trinity Lutheran on Tuesday, the Dogs didn’t fare as well against the Royals, falling three sets to one. North dropped the first set 25-14, but rallied to take set two 25-22. The Royals swept the final two sets 25-16 and 25-18 to secure the 3-1 victory. Lexi Denny (shown) had 20 assists and nine digs in the loss, and Morgan Osborn added 18 digs and five service aces. Karen Dutro tallied 13 kills, three blocks, and an ace. The Royals swept the early matches as well, winning both the JV and C-team matches 2-0. The varsity team will play at the Brownstown Central Invitational on Saturday, August 30 before all three squads host Conference Indiana foe Bloomington North on Tuesday, August 2.
