Dogs stay undefeated with sweep of Southport in boys tennis

August 29, 2025 - Columbus North boys tennis improved to 3-0 for the season with a 5-0 sweep of Southport at home on Thursday evening. The number two doubles team of Jaishal Padmanabhan and Harsil Gandhi got the match started with a 6-0, 6-0 victory, followed by a 6-0, 6-0 victory by the number one doubles team of Vince Sasse and Teddy Littrell. A third straight sweep was recorded by number three singles player Jace Branham, 6-0, 6-0, followed by a 6-1, 6-0 victory by Max Wei at number two singles. The final match of the night saw North’s Alek Davidze win his number one singles match 6-0, 6-1. North won both “Reserves” matches as well. The Dogs will be back on the court Saturday morning, August 30, when they host Terre Haute North, beginning at 10:00 am.
