Dogs fall to top-ranked Greyhounds

September 3, 2025 - Twenty-second ranking Columbus North faced the top ranked Greyhounds of Carmel on Wednesday evening and Carmel prevailed 4-1. The Bull Dogs’ lone victory came at the number one singles position as freshman Alek Devidze (shown) continued his impressive first varsity season. Devidze won his first set 6-3, dropped set two 4-6, and then dominated the third set 6-1 over senior Andrew Kim of Carmel. The Dogs lost the other four varsity matches, including Max Wei (2S) 1-6, 0-6, Jace Branham (3S) 4-6, 2-6, Teddy Littrell/Vince Sasse (1D) 6-2, 0-6, 6-7(6), and Jaishal Padmanabhan/Harshil Gandhi (2D) 3-6, 2-6. North will travel to Whiteland on Thursday evening for a 5:30 match with the Warriors.
