May 10, 2023 - The Bull Dogs could only muster two hits and one run through seven innings at Bloomington South. Fortunately, the Panthers had the same stat line, two hits and one run, so the two teams headed to an extra inning. The eighth inning belonged to the Dogs, piling up five more hits and six runs to win 7-1, improve to 19-1-1 for the season, and capture the Conference Indiana title with an unblemished conference record. Kelsey Lovelace had a pair of hits and two RBi for the Bull Dogs, and freshman Miley McClellan added a pair of doubles and three RBI for the top-ranked Columbus North squad. Maddi Rutan pitched all eight innings, allowing just two hits and one earned run while striking out twelve. The Bull Dogs will host the Columbus North Invitational on Saturday, May 13, beginning at 9:00 am.
