September 21, 2025 - All seven of the Columbus North boys cross country team finished in the top 13 positions at the Conference Indiana Championships at Ceraland on Saturday to help the Dogs run away with the team title with just 28 team points. Bloomington North was second with 35, Bloomington South third (92), Terre Haute South fourth (103), Terre Haute North fifth (150), and Southport sixth with 166 points. Jace Works finished second (15:01.77), with Denton Sluder taking fourth, Joseph Day sixth, Justin Reckers seventh, Sam Steinmetz ninth, Rohan NOrris tenth, and Logan Vanzant thirteenth for the Bull Dogs. Top twelve finishers earned All-Conference recognition, so the Dogs claimed six of those spots. In the girls race, Tristan Works, who finished 7th in 19:09.58, Kodi Smith (9th), Emma Lowther (10th), and Adira Sluder (11th) all earned All-Conference honors as the Bull Dogs finished second to Bloomington South in the team race. The Panthers grabbed the top four positions en route to posting just 22 team points. The Bull Dogs’ 53 points were good enough for runners-up, with Bloomington North finishing third (75), Terre Haute South fourth (125), Southport fifth (132), and Terre Haute North sixth with 146 points. Both teams will travel to Jasper on Saturday, September 27 for the Jasper Invitational, beginning at 9:00 am.
