Tennis team drops 3-2 decision to Bloomington North

September 26, 2025 - Columbus North won the first match, but Bloomington North rallied to win the next three in Conference Indiana boys tennis action Thursday night at Columbus North. The Cougars secured the 3-2 victory and dropped the Bull Dogs to 9-6 overall and 2-3 in Conference Indiana. Alek Devidze got the match started with a 6-2, 6-2 victory at number one singles, but the Dogs lost the next three matches, including Jace Branham at number three singles (0-6, 3-6), Max Wei at two singles (3-6, 5-7), and the one doubles team of Vince Sasse and Teddy Littrell, who held a 5-1 lead in the third set before falling 6-4, 4-6, 5-7. The Bull Dogs won the final set of the match as the two doubles team of Jaishal Padmanabhan and Luca Devidze won 6-1, 6-7(5), 6-2. The Dogs won nine of 14 reserves matches. North will travel to Silver Creek this afternoon for a non-conference matchup with the Dragons. The match is scheduled to get underway at 5:30 pm. However, the Bull Dogs finished their Conference Indiana season with a 2-3 record after falling 3-2 to Bloomington North.
