September 26, 2025 - The Columbus North volleyball team will be ready for the weekend after playing their seventh match in six days against Greenwood. The rest will feel even better after a 3-0 sweep of Greenwood in Memorial Gym on Thursday evening. The Bull Dogs were tested in the first set, escaping with a 25-23 victory, but were in control of the match for the rest of the evening, winning set two 25-13 and set three 25-19. The three set sweep followed 2-0 Bull Dog victories in both sub-varsity matches. Morgan Osborn (shown) had five service aces, including the 200th of her varsity career, as well as 14 digs to lead the Bull Dogs in both categories. Tania Maldonado had twelve kills, and Karen Dutro added eleven for the Bull Dogs. Lexi Denny paced North with 23 assists from her setter position. After a short rest over the weekend, the Bull Dogs will host Bedford North Lawrence for a JV/varsity doubleheader on Tuesday, September 30. The JV match is scheduled to begin at 6:00 pm.
