September 22, 2025 - Senior boys tennis player Jace Branham has been named Hawes Insurance Athlete of the Week. Nominated by head boys tennis coach Kendal Hammel, Branham went 2-1 in his number three singles matches last week, including a come-from-behind victory against Floyd Central. His only loss was a hard-fought match against tenth-ranked Bloomington South. According to Hammel, Branham “struggled with his matches early in the season, but has really shown improvement in his confidence and shot selection, and has fewer unforced errors the past couple of weeks.” Congratulations to senior tennis player Jace Branham, this week’s Hawes Insurance Bull Dog Athlete of the Week.
