Cross country dominates Jasper Invitational

September 28, 2025 - The Columbus North boys claimed the top eight positions at the Jasper Invitational and the girls grabbed six of the top 13 spots as both teams easily won their respective divisions. Jace Works and Denton Sluder finished nearly simultaneously to claim first and second in the boys race and were followed closely behind by Justin Reckers, Joseph Day, Graham Pumphrey, Sam Steinmetz, Logan Vanzant, and Rohan Norris as the Dogs earned a perfect score of 7 in the team category. Barr-Reeve finished a distant second with 52 points. In the girls race, Kodi Smith took fourth, Tristan Works fifth, Emma Lowther sixth, Adira Sluder eighth, and Maria Gaggiano Camargo eleventh as the girls accumulated 15 points. Edgewood was second in the girls contest with 24 points. Both teams will compete in the Nike XC Town Twilight on Saturday, October 4.
